Chernozem is a very fertile black soil found in Ukraine, as well as parts of Eastern Europe and Russia. It is rich in organic matter and highly suitable for agriculture. It is ideal for growing crops such as wheat, sunflower, and corn, and is one of the reasons Ukraine is called the "breadbasket of Europe."
I wonder if the crops grown in this chernozem are tastier and more nutritious than imported ones.
I learned that chernozem is black soil, but I’m curious if it’s actually black in real life. I would appreciate it if you could send me a photo of chernozem nearby.
