Great Geography Society?
The Great Geographic Society is a non-profit corporation established in 2024 with the goal of popularizing geography. The Society leads the dissemination of geographic, environmental, ecological, and scientific knowledge through travel and exploration, foundational research for international cooperation, and building glocal networks. The Society is a public interest corporation that produces engaging educational content in creative formats including books, magazines, travelogues, photographs, videos, maps, and artworks, while also training professional personnel in the fields of geography, ecology, field surveys, and experiential activities. Aiming to be a truly global educational organization that embraces the Third World beyond Western-centrism and includes diverse participants such as women, endangered species, youth, creators, and artists, the Society collaborates with the Geographic Imagination Research Institute (GIRI).
