Located inside Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in central Quang Binh Province, the Son Doong Cave boasts the world's largest size and unique characteristics and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Standing over 6 km long, 200 m high, and 150 m wide, the Son Doong Cave is said to be large enough to accommodate New York's 40-story skyscraper. In 2023, the British travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler nominated the Son Doong Cave, which boasts a heavenly landscape, including various types of small caves and mysterious illuminated waterways, one of the ‘seven must-visit wonders of the world this year’. Exploration of areas beyond human reach continues to this day, and an additional underground cave over 77 m connected from the existing cave was discovered in April 2022.
I found it interesting that the huge size and various compartments of the Son Doong cave affect the distribution of organisms, creating various levels of humidity, temperature, and light, providing a special environment for various forms of life to thrive. As a result, I would like to ask what kinds of life can be found in the Son Doong cave and how they coexist.
I'd like to see a photo if there is any evidence that various creatures coexist inside the Son Doong cave. For example, I wonder if I can get a picture of various individual fish distributed in a dreamy waterway or a picture of plants that rarely grow together in the same area.
The weather in Korea is generally clear these days due to the influence of high pressure, and normally spring is coming and cherry blossoms are in full bloom, but the weather is still less warm, so sprouts are starting to sprout along with the cold late winter to early spring weather. I thought that the reason why Korea's weather has not yet warmed even though it is April is due to global warming, and I wonder if there have been any cases in Vietnam where the timing of a specific weather appears has changed or the ‘climate’ of a specific region has changed. I became particularly curious about what kind of changes are occurring in Vietnam because its stretching terrain causes Vietnam's diverse climate. At the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), the Vietnamese government announced a blueprint for Vietnam's response to climate change, mainly to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050, phase out electricity generation through coal-fired power generation by 2040, and stop deforestation by 2030. In May 2023, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment announced a detailed action plan for "Net Zero 2050" and announced that it would actively pursue the development of regulations on carbon emission trading, solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and research on renewable energy such as offshore wind power plants to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. I wonder what kinds of renewable energy can be developed by utilizing natural geographic characteristics such as Vietnam's topography and climate, and how these power plants are distributed. Because various climates appear in Vietnam, I think it will be possible to develop a variety of renewable energy in addition to offshore wind power plants.
