Just added my Connectography Speech of Jamaica!
Check out the video and let’s learn about Jamaica together.
I looked into various regions of Jamaica and found Dunn’s River Falls particularly fascinating. From the photos I saw, the falls look like natural steps, and I was really surprised to learn that the waterfall flows directly into the sea — that's something you don’t see often! I also heard that visitors can actually climb up the waterfall, which sounds like such a unique and exciting experience. But I was wondering — does the strength of the water change depending on the rainy or dry season? And if it does, does that affect the climbing activities or other things people can do there? Lastly, I'm curious if Dunn’s River Falls is a place mostly visited by tourists, or if local people also enjoy going there regularly.
While learning about Jamaica, I became interested not only in its beautiful nature but also in the everyday life and culture of its people. If it’s okay with you, could you share some photos of village streets, school life, or festivals and music scenes? I’d love to get a sense of what daily life in Jamaica looks like! Also, I’ve heard that Jamaica has many beautiful beaches. Among them, could you recommend your favorite beach to me?
In particular, I was very impressed by Jamaica's various policies, such as banning single-use plastic bags and straws, expanding renewable energy, promoting eco-tourism, preserving biodiversity, encouraging recycling, practicing sustainable agriculture and fishing, and strengthening environmental education. I think it’s really great that Jamaica is protecting both its environment and economy at the same time. Since tourism is an important industry in Jamaica, I also found it very interesting that more eco-friendly hotels and resorts are being developed.
So, I have a few questions I would like to ask my Jamaican friends.
What kind of environmental protection activities or campaigns can students of your age participate in? Also, while fine dust and climate change are the biggest environmental problems in Korea, I wonder what environmental issues are the most serious in Jamaica. I’m also curious about the eco-friendly habits or culture that Jamaican people practice in their daily lives. Lastly, I heard that there are many eco-tourism sites in Jamaica. If you have any beautiful natural places you would like to recommend, please let me know!
I think it will be so meaningful if we can share ideas about environmental problems and efforts to protect our planet, and learn from each other’s experiences.
I have a cute cat.
I like to exercise and eat food. I usually do SNS or spend time with my friends on my day off. I also enjoy drawing and listening to songs. I also like to keep in touch with you, so I hope you feel free to approach me!
