GINUE Friend : Sungjun from Miryang to Spain
I was born and raised in Miryang, Korea. My geographic experience was very limited because I had never moved much or traveled far. However, my geographic area was greatly expanded as soon as I entered the university. As the living radius expanded to the metropolitan area centered on Incheon, I had various experiences, and they were very impressive. As I had new experiences such as high-rise buildings, subways, and famous restaurants, I became curious about the wider world. So while I was in college, I went to Hong Kong, Tokyo, Osaka, and Guam. The scenery that I had not seen in Korea was fascinating, and the experiences I had with my friends were all fun. My favorite football team's home stadium is in Madrid, so I really want to go to Spain in the future.
저는 대한민국의 밀양에서 태어나 쭉 자라왔습니다. 크게 이사를 다닌 경험이나 멀리 여행을 다닌 적이 거의 없어 저의 지리적 경험은 매우 제한적이었습니다. 그러나 대학 입학과 동시에 저의 지리적 영역이 크게 확장되었습니다. 인천을 중심으로 한 수도권으로 생활 반경이 넓어지면서 다양한 경험을 하였고 저는 그 경험이 아주 인상적이었습니다. 저는 고층 건물들, 지하철, 유명한 음식점들 등 새로운 경험을 하면서 더 넓은 세상이 궁금해졌습니다. 그래서 대학 생활 동안 홍콩, 도쿄, 오사카, 괌을 다녀왔습니다. 한국에서는 볼 수 없었던 풍경들이 신기했고 친구들과 함께했던 그 경험들이 모두 즐거웠습니다. 제가 가장 좋아하는 축구 팀의 홈 구장이 마드리드에 있어서 앞으로는 스페인에 꼭 가보고 싶습니다.

Miryang, the city where I live, is famous for the Miryang River, a river that crosses the center of the city, and a pavilion called Yeongnamru that was built during the Joseon Dynasty. There is also an area called Ice Valley, where ice freezes even in summer. Miryang is an agricultural-based city and a basin surrounded by mountains. It is famous as the original city of Korean soup, 'gukbap', and it also attracts many tourists.
제가 사는 도시 밀양은 도시 중심을 가로지르는 강인 '밀양강'이 있고 조선시대에 만들어진 '영남루'라는 누각이 유명합니다. 또 여름임에도 얼음이 어는 '얼음골'이라는 지역도 있습니다. 밀양은 농업을 기반으로하는 도시이며 산으로 둘러싸인 분지 지역입니다. 한국의 국물 요리인 '국밥'의 원조 도시로 유명하여 관광객이 많이 찾아오기도 합니다.

마다가스카르 아리아리(MGA)
The purpose of Ariari was to replace the colonial symbol Malagasy Fran, initially included in the Comoros, but it fell off in 1979. After gaining independence from France in 1960, the original purpose was to take an independent economic course in 1961, but due to concerns about public confusion, it could not be changed immediately and existed for a while with Malagasy Fran. However, as Ariari became more appealing to people than Fran, the position reversed in 2003 and came to light. The currency contains the environment, society, and culture of Madagascar.
아리아리는 식민시절의 상징인 말라가시 프랑을 대체하기 위한 목적으로 만들어졌으며, 처음엔 코모로도 이쪽에 포함되었었으나 1979년에 떨어져 나갔다. 본래 취지는 1960년 프랑스로부터 독립한 후인 1961년에 독자적인 경제노선을 걷기 위해 만든 것이나 민중혼란을 우려해 곧장 바꾸지는 못하고 한동안 말라가시 프랑과 함께 존재했다. 하지만 점점 사람들 사이에서 프랑보다 아리아리가 입에 붙게 되자, 2003년 신권부터 입장이 역전되어 제 모습을 드러내게 되었다. 아리아리는 마다가스카르의 환경, 사회, 문화의 모습을 화폐에 담고 있다.
My Geographical Exploration
Central Asia Road is an area where people from various countries in Central Asia came to live together as Korea established diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union in the 1990s, and the Soviet Union collapsed. Most of the street signs are in the language of Central Asia, and it is hard to find Korean. Our group visited Stasamarkand, an Uzbek restaurant, to explore food culture, and tried lamb dishes, including flops, ssamsa, and ragman. The unique scent and taste of Central Asian food were fresh. The taste of apricot juice that I ate with it was also slightly different from that of Korea. I also went to Nepalese streets and Dongmyo, but I think the road in Central Asia was the most impressive.
중앙아시아길은 1990년대, 한국이 소련과 수교를 맺고 이후 소련이 붕괴 되면서 중앙아시아의 여러 국가에서 사람들이 모여들어 살게 된 지역이다. 거리의 간판들은 대부분 중앙아시아의 언어로 이루어져 있으며 한국어를 좀처럼 찾아보기 힘들다. 우리 조는 음식 문화 탐색을 위해 우즈베키스탄 음식 전문점인 스타사마르칸트를 방문했고, 플로프와 쌈싸, 라그만을 비롯한 양고기 요리를 중심으로 먹어봤다. 중앙아시아 음식 특유의 향이나 맛이 신선했다. 곁들여 먹은 살구 주스의 맛 역시 한국의 살구와는 조금 다르다는 느낌을 받았다. 네팔 거리와 동묘도 다녀왔지만 역시 중앙아시아길이 가장 인상적이었던 것 같다.
