Hello! My Korean name is Seungju Yoo, and my English name is Andrea. I was born and raised in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, and I've lived there my whole life. Since I lived right at the foot of Achasan Mountain, I naturally spent a lot of time in nature, which is why I love hiking.
Also, I'm really grateful that my parents took me on trips to lots of different places when I was young. Thanks to that, I absolutely love traveling and experiencing new cultures. Because of this, one of my future goals is to teach abroad.
The photo here is from my trip to the US last winter vacation. It was taken in front of the White House. It was my first time visiting the US, so I was a bit nervous at first, but since it's such a vast country, I was able to learn so much from the trip. It's great to meet you all!
안녕하세요 저는 한국 이름은 유승주, 영어 이름은 andrea 입니다. 저는 서울 광진구에서 태어나서 평생 살았습니다. 광진구에서도 아차산 밑에서 오래 살아서 저는 자연스럽게 산을 접할 일이 많았고 덕분에 등산하는 것을 좋아합니다.
또 감사하게도 어릴적부터 부모님께서 다양한 곳에 여행을 데려가주신 덕분에 저는 여행을 가서 새로운 문화를 접하고 체험하는 것을 굉장히 사랑합니다. 때문에 저는 향후에 해외에서 교직 생활을 해보는 것이 제 목표 중에 하나입니다.
사진은 지난 겨울 방학에 다녀온 미국에서 찍은 사진 입니다. 미국 백악관 앞인데요. 미국은 처음이라서 많이 두렵기도 했지만 큰 나라인 만큼 많은 것들을 배울 수 있었던 여행이었습니다.

I have lived in Gwangjin-gu for 22 years. While there are various attractions in the area, I personally consider Achasan Mountain to be the absolute best spot. The mountain is packed with hikers every weekend. It draws a large crowd because it's easily accessible from Seoul, and the hike is relatively easy thanks to its low elevation and gentle trails. Achasan is especially famous as a great place to watch the sunrise. Because of this, crowds gather there every January 1st, and I also make it a tradition to hike up on New Year's Day every year.
저는 22년동안 광진구에만 살았습니다. 광진구에는 다양한 명소가 있지만 제 개인적으로 광진구의 최고 명소는 단연 아차산이라고 생각합니다. 아차산에는 매 주말마다 많은 등산객들이 몰립니다. 서울에서 접근성이 좋기도 하고 해발고도가 낮고 길이 완만하여 등산 난이도가 낮아서 많은 사람들이 방문합니다. 특히 아차산은 해돋이 명소로도 유명합니다. 그래서 매년 1월1일마다 많은 사람들이 몰리는 장소이고 저도 매년 1월1일마다 올라가곤 합니다.
