"Why I want to learn more about Japan”
Japan is a country close to Korea, yet it has a culture that feels very different and fascinating. I’ve always been interested in Japanese anime, seasonal festivals, and manners. As someone studying education, I want to understand how Japan teaches its culture to children.
In our social studies education class, I presented on Japanese dining manners and the famous cherry blossom festival (Hanami). I was amazed by how much Japanese culture values beauty, respect, and seasonal changes. I also realized that even small gestures like bowing have deep cultural meaning.
I want to learn more about how Japanese people see the world. For example, how do you balance tradition and modern life? What values do you think are most important in Japanese society today?
