H (Home)- In my neighborhood town from Uiwang, which is called Ojeon-dong, redevelopment is facing a lot of delays. It has started with a type of forced displacement since 2023, but the process is blocked with many obstacles without knowing anticipated deadlines. Compared with other regions in Uiwang, Ojeon-dong is one of the most slowest to achieve redevelopment.
O (Observation)- The primary cause of this delay in redevelopment is due to the conflict of compensating the forced displacement in exchange of this redevelopment. The issue with deciding how much to compensate is not resolved easily among the stakeholders.
P (Plan)- By creating the policy to plan how much to compensate along with enough communication among stakeholders before executing redevelopment, we might prevent the conflict and understand one another.
E (Execute)- To execute this plan, it is important to gather public recognition of the necessity to create this policy and actually enact a law to make it valid. We might have an official survey to start crystallizing public opinion.
