Hello, I am Joonsang Chi, a freshman at Handong Global University. I was born and raised in Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do, and studied abroad at an international school in Mexico for approximately four years until my high school graduation. Specifically, I was able to acquire academic English and practical Spanish through living with my younger sibling at my church pastor's home for two and a half years, alone at my international school's Business Manager's home for five months, and at the High School Lead Teacher's home until graduation. During my time at an international high school abroad, I became interested in global warming and climate change and developed a dream of developing new energy sources to address these issues. To gain a proper understanding of climate change, I conducted research and wrote a research paper. Furthermore, as the founder and leader of the Climate Change Cooperation Club (4C), I achieved the remarkable feat of winning second place in the 2025 WAW Global Sustainability Competition with a Research/Proposal on the topic of "Urban Environmental Sustainability" led by a team of six members. Moving forward, I wish to devote even greater effort to contemplating and resolving climate change issues at Handong Global University.
안녕하세요, 저는 한동대학교 26학번 지준상입니다. 저는 경기도 의왕시에서 태어나서 살고 있고 중학교 3학년부터 고등학교 졸업할 때까지 약 4년 동안 멕시코의 국제학교에서 유학했습니다. 특별히 2년 반 동안 제 교회의 목사님 집에서 제 동생과 함께, 5개월은 제 국제학교의 Business Manager 집에서 홀로, 그리고 졸업할 때까지 High School Lead Teacher 집에서 생활하며 학문적 영어와 실생활 스페인어를 익힐 수 있었습니다. 저는 해외 국제 고등학교 재학 시절 지구온난화와 기후변화에 관심을 두고 이를 해결하기 위해 신에너지를 개발하는 꿈을 가지게 되었습니다. 기후변화를 제대로 알기 위해 연구하여 소논문도 작성해보고 Climate Change Cooperation Club (4C)의 창시자와 리더로서 총 6명의 팀원과 함께 2025 WAW Global Sustainability Competition에 Urban Enviornmental Sustainability를 주제로 Research/Proposal을 작성해 2등을 하는 쾌거를 이루었습니다. 앞으로 한동대학교에서 기후변화문제를 고민하고 해결하는데 더 큰 노력을 쏟아붓고 싶습니다.
