Handong Friend : Dongju Seo from Pohang to Mongolia

Hello. My name is Dongju Seo, and I am a freshman (Class of '26) in the School of Global Leadership at Handong Global University. I am currently living in the school dormitory in Pohang.

I was born on Jeju Island and spent my childhood and youth living in various regions, including Uiseong, Iksan, Daejeon, Gimcheon, and Geochang. Moving through so many different areas allowed me to meet a wide variety of people, and through these experiences, 'accumulating diverse experiences' naturally became my direction in life.

My ultimate dream is to become an energy engineer. Before coming to university, I only vaguely thought that I should pursue a STEM track. However, while taking the 'Introduction to Energy Engineering' course, I found myself voluntarily searching for and studying additional knowledge on my own.

In the future, I want to become an energy engineer who discovers and develops new energy sources for humanity.

 안녕하세요. 한동대학교 글로벌리더십학부 재학 중인 26학번 서동주라고 합니다. 저는 지금 포항에서 학교 기숙사에 살고 있습니다. 저는 제주도에서 태어나 의성, 익산, 대전, 김천, 거창에서 유년, 청소년 시절을 보냈습니다. 많은 지역을 경험하며 다양한 사람들을 만났고, 이러한 경험 속에서 '다양한 경험을 쌓아가는 것'이 저의 삶의 방향성이 되었습니다. 저는 에너지공학자가 되는 것이 꿈입니다. 대학을 오기 전에는 막연하게 이과에 진학해야겠다는 생각만을 했습니다. 하지만 ‘에너지공학입문’이라는 수업을 들으면서 스스로 추가적인 지식을 더 찾아보고 있는 제 자신을 발견했습니다. 저는 미래에 에너지공학자가 되어서 인류의 새로운 에너지원을 발견하고 개발하고 싶습니다.
