Hello, my name is Sunho Hwang, and I am currently a student at Handong Global University (Class of 2026). I was born in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and I still live there today. I am naturally curious, and I love learning and trying new things I have never experienced before.
My trip to the Philippines is one of my most memorable and happiest experiences. Rather than visiting typical tourist attractions, I traveled to places like Tuguegarao and Lagum where I could genuinely understand the country. It was amazing to be able to deeply experience the new culture and local food.
Building a rocket in high school was another incredibly enjoyable experience for me. When SpaceX was gaining immense popularity, my friends and I started a club with the goal of building our own solid-fuel rocket. The hands-on experience of making the fuel, designing the nozzles, measuring the thrust, and brainstorming with my friends to solve problems when the motor blew up really helped me get through the difficult times of my high school years, which were otherwise filled only with studying.
I do not have a specific dream yet because there are simply too many things I want to do, making it difficult to narrow it down to just one. Therefore, my current goal is to explore and discover what I truly want to pursue while attending university.
