When I visited Dangjin, I began my journey with a stop at a café famous for its soft tofu ice cream. At first, I was curious about how tofu could be turned into a dessert, but from the very first spoonful, I was amazed. The ice cream was smooth, creamy, and lightly sweet, with a refreshing taste that was both simple and special. It was different from regular ice cream, yet it carried a charm that made it unforgettable. Enjoying it in a relaxed setting gave me the chance to slow down and appreciate how local flavors in Dangjin reflect creativity and tradition.
After this delightful treat, I continued my visit to the Solmoe Catholic Shrine, one of the most meaningful landmarks in Dangjin. The shrine is dedicated to Saint Andrew Kim Taegon, the first Catholic priest in Korea, who is remembered for his courage and sacrifice. Walking through the peaceful paths, I could sense the depth of history that surrounds the site. The shrine was not only a place of prayer but also a symbol of resilience and faith, showing how strongly people held onto their beliefs despite challenges.

In addition to my time in Dangjin, I also had the chance to visit the Cheonan Sports Complex, a modern facility that will host some of the upcoming FISU World University Games. Walking through the stadium and training grounds, I could already imagine the energy and excitement that will fill the space when athletes from all over the world gather to compete. It was inspiring to see how well-prepared the venue is, reflecting Korea’s commitment to supporting international sports and bringing people together through competition.
