Hello everyone, I am Awakhiwe Mdlongwa, a student of Climate Change and Sustainable Development at National university of science and technology, and an active member of the Environmental Awareness Association in Zimbabwe. Throughout my academic journey, I have participated in various symposia focused on reducing e-waste and preserving biodiversity. I have also contributed to organizing activities that promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
Joining this program is an opportunity I truly value, and I am excited to be here — not only to be enlightened more on Korean biodiversity, geography and their rich culture but also to share valuable information about my country, Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is home to breathtaking landscapes and diverse ecosystems, including the majestic Victoria Falls, the vast Hwange National Park, and the unique floodplains of Mana Pools National Park. The Eastern Highlands showcase lush forests, while the Zambezi River and Kariba Dam support vital aquatic ecosystems. I believe that knowledge, sports and cultural exchange can be a bridge between nations
