Welcome to my little space where I’ll be sharing my life in Korea 🇰🇷✨
Met two awesome friends — Manuel from Canada (originally born in Germany) and Renata from Mexico!
We had dakgalbi at a restaurant Renata recommended — the chicken was juicy, flavorful, and so fresh 🍗🔥
After that, we visited MEGA MGC COFFEE, a café that’s super popular in Korea. I tried a drink called Pongcrush — refreshing, tasty, and surprisingly affordable 🧃💸
Later, Professor Eje Kim treated us to Sulbing Café for some local Korean bingsu (빙수) 🍧. The injeolmi bingsu was soft, nutty, and addictive 💛 while the melon bingsu with cheese cubes and shaved ice was unlike anything I’ve ever had back home 🍈🧀❄️
📅 5 August 2025 – Chill Day & Fun Night(2nd day in Korea)
We went to a café near our dormitory — super cozy and chill, perfect to relax and hang out ☕✨
At night, we did an international taste snack challenge 🌍🍬. It was hilarious trying different snacks from around the world and reacting to the weird, sweet, or spicy flavors! Definitely lots of laughs 😆
📅 6 August 2025 – Day 1 in Chungnam (3rd day in Korea)
We arrived in Chungnam! After settling in, we strolled around and caught a gorgeous sunset 🌅😭
We even squeezed into a photo booth together to capture the moment.
📅 7 August 2025 – Day 2 in Chungnam
Spent the day at Daecheon Beach 🏖️ and noticed the sand was full of tiny shells and creatures 🐚.
We loved a restaurant so much that we went twice — first for their seafood noodles, and later for grilled clams and BBQ meat 😋🔥
📅 8 August 2025 – Day 3 in Chungnam
Morning adventure at the mud flats, the birthplace of clams 🐚. The rich mud supports clams, crabs, snails, and more marine life 🦀🐌.
What touched me most was seeing families bring their kids here to learn where food really comes from — nature’s hard work before it reaches our table 🌊✨
Later, we officially met the last two members of our group and joined a ceremony hosted by Chungnam, where we received certificates 🎓. So grateful for this honor 🙏
Then came the Boryeong Mud Festival — absolute madness but the best kind! Mud slides, pools, music blasting, everyone laughing and covered in mud. Messy, wild, unforgettable fun.
At night, we moved to Jokdu Island and checked into Sanghwawon Villa. Surrounded by greenery and water, with cozy modern rooms and peaceful vibes, it was the perfect reset after the chaos.
📅 9 August 2025 – Day 4 in Chungnam
Woke up to the dreamy views of Muchangpo Beach 🌊✨. The sunlight bouncing off the waves and salty breeze made the morning magical.
Explored Ghaewa Art Park next — from aesthetic cafés like Rirris Café ☕️ to Mosan Museum and Herb Land, the mix of art, culture, and greenery was so refreshing. Everywhere was picture-worthy 📸
The day ended with a K-pop concert 🎤🎶 — crazy lights, perfect choreo, fans screaming, and music shaking the whole venue. I was singing and jumping the entire time. Definitely a bucket-list experience!
📅 10 August 2025 – Last Day in Chungnam
We visited Baekunsa Temple and met a kind nun, who shared lessons on 茶道 (Korean tea ceremony) 🍵 and gifted us wooden prayer beads (檀珠手链) as keepsakes. She even took us to the nearby charcoal mountain and let us each bring home a piece of coal.
Lunch was nearby — tried soy milk noodles (두유 냉면) and it was sooo good 😍.
Then came pure fun — sky biking and zip lining at Daecheon Beach 🚴♀️✨. The adrenaline rush was unforgettable.
Our journey wrapped up on Wonsando Island, where we chilled over coffee ☕️, enjoyed the seaside view, and did our final interview to share our thoughts about the trip. I truly meant it when I said: I’ll definitely promote Chungnam to my family and friends back home 💕
