August 5, 2025~ I'm Steven Chan from Indonesia and this is for the first time i arrived in South Korea for the first time with so much exciting feels, flight from Jakarta and arrived in Incheon for 7 hours. This is the picture that i take in Incheon Airport.
I met with others GG Ambassador from Malaysia, Canada, Mexico, Uganda even Kenya.
After arrived, we prepared to go to Boryeong, Chungnam to do the fun Fieldwork There. If you’re dreaming of a Korean getaway that mixes festival energy, K-pop sparkle, soft-sand beaches, and a touch of countryside serenity, Boryeong in Chungcheongnam-do delivers in spades. Here’s a five-day travel story and practical itinerary that folds in the Boryeong Mud Festival, a K-pop concert, an overnight escape to Sanghwawon, paragliding thrills, a sky bike ride, lazy hours on Daecheon Beach, and a seafood feast to remember.
Wake up to festival day! The Boryeong Mud Festival is a joyful chaos of inflatable mud slides, mud wrestling pits, color-your-friend mud painting, and foam parties. Lockers and rinse stations keep it easy wear a swimsuit or clothes you don’t mind turning gray.
Between mud sessions, check out the mud cosmetics booths (Boryeong is famous for mineral-rich mud skincare), grab a street snack (hotteok and mandu) The vibe is happy, messy, and completely freeing.
check in for a night at Sanghwawon (even a single night shifts the pace). This stay centers on traditional aesthetics and slow living—wooden architecture, curated gardens, and quiet corners to breathe. Wander the grounds, join any available tea-tasting or cultural mini-program, and let the hush of the countryside anchor your memories of Boryeong’s energy.
As evening settles, journal your highlights: the laughter of the mud pits, the chorus of a stadium sing-along, the hush above the coast during flight, and the taste of sea-fresh clams. Sleep comes easily in the calm.
In the evening, dress up for your K-pop concert. Whether it’s a festival stage in peak season or a touring show, expect tight choreography, fan-light oceans, and sing-along hooks. Arrive early for merch and to find your gate, and download a map of the venue in case cell data gets spotty.
Post-show, grab late night convenience-store snacks by the beach. There’s something perfect about salty air, neon lights after the concert
We also does the paragliding and sky bike. Head to a reputable operator in the region for a tandem flight. After a quick briefing, you’ll lift off with an instructor and float above patchwork fields and coastline. The sensation is calm and panoramic more soaring than “falling.” Photos package are worth it for the views.
The vibes of Boryeong is balance: high-energy festival days, chorus-filled K-pop nights, and wind-quiet moments above the coast or inside a traditional stay. In five days you’ll collect both adrenaline spikes and slow, grounding pauses—exactly the mix that turns a trip into a story you’ll retell.
That's all my experiences while Travel in Chungnam, Boryeong. Thank You for reading and feel free to ask anytime!!
