Visiting Jangnam Primary School was one of the best experince interacting with the young kids was so amazing and sharing about my school and culture was the best..i really loved how the teacher and the principal welcomed us to the school,and introduced us to the school and how everything operates around the school.
During my visit, I had the chance to introduce myself and share about my culture, traditions, and life back in Kenya. The children were especially fascinated by the stories about Kenyan wildlife, food, and sports. Their eyes lit up when I spoke about the "Big Five" animals, and many of them were surprised to learn about the importance of athletics in Kenya, especially long-distance running. It was heartwarming to see how interested they were in learning about a culture so far from their own.
What touched me the most was the curiosity and openness of the students. They asked many questions, sometimes shyly and sometimes boldly, but always with genuine interest. Through simple conversations, laughter, and even games, I felt the powerful connection that cultural exchange can create, even across language barriers.
The visit was not only about sharing my culture but also about learning from theirs. I was impressed by the discipline, respect, and creativity I saw in the classrooms. The way the students engaged with me reflected the strong values of kindness and learning that are deeply rooted in Korean education.
Leaving the school, I felt inspired and hopeful. The experience reminded me that cultural exchange at a young age plants seeds of global understanding and friendship. It showed me that even small moments of sharing can help shape a generation that values diversity and unity.
