Visiting Ewoo High School was one of the most enriching experiences I had during my time in Korea. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the students and teachers, which made me feel at home despite being far away. The atmosphere in the school was vibrant and full of curiosity, and I could sense the students’ eagerness to learn from different cultures and perspectives.

During my session, I had the opportunity to share about my culture, including traditions, food, clothing, and the values that shape daily life back in Kenya. The students were especially interested in learning about Kenyan sports, music, and the beauty of our diverse communities. It felt rewarding to see how small cultural exchanges can build bridges of understanding and appreciation across borders.

In addition to cultural sharing, I also spoke with the students about global issues that affect young people around the world. We discussed topics such as climate change, hunger, and the importance of education in creating sustainable solutions. What stood out to me was the level of engagement from the students—they asked thoughtful questions and even connected these issues to challenges they face in Korea. It was inspiring to see how young minds are already thinking critically about the future of our world.

My visit to Ewoo High School reminded me that cultural exchange is not just about introducing traditions, but also about working together to find common ground in addressing the challenges of our time. The experience left me hopeful that through dialogue and cooperation, today’s youth can become the leaders who bring positive change globally.
