Phang Nga Bay is a place with breathtaking natural beauty, but I also began to wonder about its significance to the people who live there. While it offers stunning views to tourists, how do the residents of this area relate to the unique geography? I’m curious about the environmental issues and challenges that arise from tourism here. Additionally, I would like to learn about any special creatures or natural phenomena that can only be found in Phang Nga Bay.
Besides the natural environment of Thailand, I also became interested in its human environment, especially its traditional festivals. I would like to better understand Thailand's traditional festivals, so I have a small request. Could you please send me some photos related to Thailand’s major traditional festivals? I would love to see photos of famous festivals like "Songkran" or "Loy Krathong." These photos will help me understand Thai culture and traditions better, and I’m really looking forward to seeing them. I would be very grateful if you could send them.
In April, Korea is in the middle of spring. The temperature is rising day by day. The average daytime temperature is between 16°C and 19°C, while the mornings and evenings are still a bit chilly, around 5°C to 10°C. The weather is usually warm and sunny in spring, but fine dust from China sometimes causes problems. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, March and April are the times when fine dust levels are the highest, due to stagnant air. The Ministry of Environment said that the average level of ultrafine dust in Seoul this March increased by more than 15% compared to last year.
Because of this, people can feel the changes in air quality in their daily lives. Many experts say that these strange weather patterns are not just seasonal changes, but clear signs of climate change. In the past 100 years, the average temperature in Korea has risen by about 1.8°C. As a result, summers are getting longer, while spring and fall are getting shorter. Also, the weather is becoming hotter and drier, which increases the risk of wildfires. Right now, wildfires are happening in many parts of the country, and the damage is getting serious.
Since climate change and environmental problems affect the whole world, I became interested in Thailand’s environmental policies. I heard that Thailand is also working to resolve environmental issues caused by climate change. Recently, the Thai government announced its goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero emissions by 2065. I also read that they are working on a climate law and are planning to introduce a carbon tax. I am curious about how these policies are being carried out in Thailand and how Thai people feel about them.
