Hello, my name is Juhyeong Lee, and I am from Seoul, South Korea. I am currently majoring in Geography Education. My surname, 'Lee,' is the second most common last name in Korea. I was born in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. Although its population is approximately 290,000—which is not particularly large—Chuncheon serves as the administrative hub of the province. The Gangwon Provincial Government is located there, and the city is well-connected by a railway and two major highways. As a result, one can reach Seoul or Wonju (the largest city in Gangwon) within just one hour.
Growing up, I traveled a lot within Korea and abroad because my parents love traveling. Visiting new places gave me the chance to experience local geography and culture for myself, which is how I naturally fell in love with 'Geography.' This passion led me to pursue a degree in Geography Education, and I’ve been enjoying various activities related to my major ever since. The highlight so far has been a department field trip along the Seohae Line. Since it was an academic trip with a clear objective rather than just a simple vacation, I found the time spent there incredibly meaningful and fulfilling.
