Hello, my name is Julie, and I am currently a third-year student
majoring in elementary education at Global Gyeongin National University of Education. Recently, I have developed a deep curiosity about the history and religious background of the West Asian region. Through my university lectures, I was introduced to Armenia for the first time, and I quickly became fascinated by this country.
In Korea, education on the West Asian region is relatively limited, so I have been expanding my studies on my own, particularly focusing on Armenia. I find it incredibly intriguing that Armenia was the first country in the world to adopt Christianity as its state religion and that it has established a unique identity at the crossroads of Eastern and Western civilizations. I am particularly interested in exploring Armenia's religious heritage and its influence on modern society. Through this exploration, I hope to go beyond simply acquiring knowledge and contribute to fostering cultural exchanges between Korea and Armenia.
I believe that my passion for Armenia will serve as a strong foundation for my personal growth. Furthermore, I hope to continue my connection with Armenia and build meaningful exchanges in the future. Thank you.
안녕하세요. 저는 경인교육대학교에서 초등교육을 전공하고 있는 3학년 현세빈 (Julie)입니다. 최근 서아시아 지역의 역사와 종교적 배경에 깊은 호기심을 갖 게 되었습니다. 그러던 중 대학교 강의를 통해 아르메니아라는 나라를 처음 접하 게 되었고, 그 매력에 빠지게 되었습니다.
한국에서는 서아시아 지역에 대한 교육이 비교적 제한적이기 때문에, 아르메니 아를 비롯한 서아시아 국가들에 대한 연구를 스스로 확장해 나가고 있습니다. 그 중 아르메니아는 세계 최초로 기독교를 국교로 받아들인 나라로, 동서 문명의 교 차로에 위치해 독자적인 정체성을 확립해왔다는 점이 매우 인상적입니다. 저는 아르메니아의 종교적 유산과 그것이 현대 사회에 미친 영향에 대해 탐구하고 싶 습니다. 이를 통해 단순한 지식 습득을 넘어 한국과 아르메니아 간의 문화적 교 류를 증진시키는 데에도 기여하고 싶습니다.
아르메니아를 향한 제 관심이 앞으로의 개인적 성장에 큰 밑거름이 되기를 바랍 니다. 더 나아가, 아르메니아와의 인연을 지속적으로 이어가며 의미 있는 교류 를 이루어나가고 싶습니다. 감사합니다.
