The government is actively seeking tourism support for participants in the "2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree," with the Chungcheong region taking proactive steps to support it.

According to sources from four provinces in the Chungcheong region on the 7th, Daejeon recently submitted three proposals to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, including "Daejeon Ecotourism Experience," "Science Capital Daejeon Experience," and "Urban Cultural Ecological Experience."

Previously, President Yoon Suk-yeol instructed on the 5th, "Urgently add tourism programs where Korea's industries, cultures, histories, and nature can be seen."

Looking at the programs prepared by the city, ecotourism experiences focus on Gyejoksan Hwangto Trail, science capital experiences include the National Science Museum, and cultural ecological experiences include Hanbat Arboretum.

A city official stated, "There was a request from the government to propose tourism programs for each local government, so we prepared three proposals," adding, "Once confirmed, we will proceed with implementation."

During the remaining Jamboree schedule, around 60 representatives from Singapore staying at the Korea Water Resources Corporation Training Institute are enjoying the corporation's "Water Resources Cultural Tourism Program."

The representatives visited the Korea Water Resources Corporation's Water Management Control Center, Daecheong Dam, Gongju Donghaksa Temple, and Gyeryongsan National Park on this day's schedule.

For the Jamboree participants in Sejong City, the Sejong Youth Center has prepared activities such as "Sports Climbing, K-Food Making, 3D Printing Experience" and "Traditional Culture Experience at Sejong Traditional Culture Experience Center (Gwangjesa)," including archery, lantern making, and temple cuisine experience.

At night, there are tours of the Leeumdaegyo Bridge's night scenery and K-pop busking performances enjoyed by Jamboree scouts and Sejong City youth.

Chungbuk Province has prepared off-site programs for three courses: △Course 1 History, Culture, and Leisure Experience (Cheongju, Jeungpyeong) △Course 2 Traditional Music and History Experience (Yeongdong, Boeun) △Course 3 Nature-themed Travel (Jecheon, Danyang).

Especially, the province is in discussions with cities and counties to provide benefits such as free admission to tourist attractions and discounts.

Currently, the size and schedule of the Jamboree visiting group have not been confirmed, but there are plans to provide accommodations, transportation, and thorough preparations for safety, hygiene, and accident prevention.

In addition, Chungnam Province will provide scouts from around the world participating in the Saemangeum Jamboree with the taste, style, and excitement of Chungnam.

The province has secured 10 facilities from six cities and counties, including youth training centers and youth hostels, so that scouts tired from the heat can comfortably stay in Chungnam.

The Gongju Youth Hostel can accommodate 800 people, the Gyeryongsan Gabssa Youth Hostel 500 people, and the Buyeo Youth Training Center 300 people, with a capacity to accommodate 3,000 people per day.

The province has also prepared special programs for scouts to enjoy.

To allow international youths to experience the Boryeong Mud Festival that concluded on the 6th, the festival's "Mud Massage Self Zone" will be extended for four days from the 7th to the 10th, free of charge.

A provincial official stated, "We will deploy cultural tourism guides at each tourist site to help participants understand Chungnam's history and culture without inconvenience and ensure thorough safety management."
