Gyeonggi Province has decided to fully support safe accommodation and cultural experiences for the largest number of about 13,000 participants from various countries who left the World Scout Jamboree in Saemangeum early.

According to Gyeonggi Province, 64 accommodation facilities in 20 cities and counties in the province will accommodate 13,568 scouts from 88 countries.

These participants will stay in accommodation facilities assigned by country from today (the 8th) morning when they move from the Saemangeum camping site by bus until the closing day of Jamboree on the 12th.

The accommodation facilities include university dormitories, private training centers, and public educational facilities. In the case of university dormitories, they will welcome participants from countries such as Germany (about 2,100 people) and the Netherlands (about 1,900 people) with around 1,000 participants each from universities such as Myongji University, Kyunggi University, and Suwon University.

An Icelandic participant, Christopher (17), who will stay in the dormitory at Kyunggi University, answered the question "What are you looking forward to in Suwon?" saying, "I heard we will go to the mall, so I'm most looking forward to exploring various things in the mall."

Similarly, a chartered bus carrying participants from Papua New Guinea arrived in the dormitory at Myongji University in Cheoin-gu, Yongin City, amid the welcoming atmosphere of Yongin City and Myongji University officials and current students.

Participant Elaine said, "I had a tough time in the camping site because it was too hot," adding, "I don't know where I am right now, but I'm excited and looking forward to experiencing new things in a new place."

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province and cities and counties have decided to provide cultural experience programs tailored to each region so that scout participants can promote Gyeonggi Province during their stay. In the case of Suwon City, where 1,300 Jamboree participants will stay, plans are being made to visit UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites such as Hwaseong Fortress and KBS Drama Center.
