Last month, the parents of a Dutch member
who participated in the New Sae Man Geum World Scout Jamboree sent a letter of
gratitude to the Gyeonggi Fire Service Academy.
On the 5th, the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters
announced that the parents of the Dutch member had sent a letter expressing
gratitude for "everything provided to their daughter and fellow scout
members."
The parents conveyed, "The programs
supported by the Gyeonggi Fire Service were truly amazing, and scout members
who stayed elsewhere may feel a bit envious for not being able to participate
in firefighting experience activities."
Previously, from the 8th to the 16th of
last month, among the world scout members, 365 members from six countries,
including the Netherlands, participated in various experiences such as
firefighting training, emergency medical treatment, and mountain rescue at the
Gyeonggi Fire Service Academy. They also attended activities such as taekwondo
demonstrations and traditional percussion performances.
The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters stated that
they will permanently preserve the letter received this time along with items
from the 'Memories Exhibition with Scouts' in a time capsule, and they plan to
respond to the letter.
