Ansan Howon Elementary School is a public elementary school in Chojidong, Danwon-gu, Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, located at 100 Choji 1-ro. The school was founded in 2004 and currently has approximately 748 students. The name "Howon" means a garden by a lake, which reflects the school's location right next to Ansan Lake Park.
The school's motto is "A child who thinks creatively and acts rightly," and its vision is to become a happy community full of dreams, reading, and inspiration. Its educational goals are summed up in the word DREAM: Do-it creative, Relationship, Expression, Ability, and Mature. Through these goals, the school hopes to raise children who think in new ways, live healthily, and grow together with their community.
Howon Elementary School supports students' growth through various activities, such as grade-level sports clubs, a reading program where each grade reads a book together, and a career experience day. Students also take part in ecological experience activities at nearby Ansan Lake Park, so they can learn from nature right outside their school.
