Hello. My name is Cho Urim.
Incheon is a metropolitan city of approximately 3 million residents, situated on the west coast of the Korean Peninsula, about 30 kilometers west of Seoul. Home to Incheon International Airport—a major global aviation hub—and Incheon Port, a large-scale commercial trade port, the city serves as South Korea’s primary international gateway and logistics center.

Historically, Incheon became the main conduit for Western culture and modernization when its port (Jemulpo) opened in 1883. As a result, several national milestones were established here, including Korea's first modern railway (the Gyeongin Line), its first Western-style public park (Jayu Park), and its first Western-style hotel (Daebul Hotel). In modern history, Incheon served as the strategic site of the 1950 Incheon Landing Operation (Operation Chromite), which turned the tide of the Korean War.
Culturally and culinarily, it is the birthplace of Korean-style jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), which originated from Chinese port laborers, and jjolmyeon (spicy chewy noodles), accidentally developed during noodle manufacturing. Additionally, landmarks such as the Incheon Grand Bridge and Songdo Central Park frequently serve as filming locations for Korean media and entertainment.
Administratively, Incheon consists of two counties (Ganghwa and Ongjin) and nine districts (Jemulpo, Yeongjong, Michuhol, Yeonsu, Namdong, Bupyeong, Gyeyang, Seohae, and Geomdan).
My Recent interest is Laos.
Let's grow together for international understanding.
