Congratulations to the finalists and to those who are striving to become finalists for the GG Summer School Ambassador. Here is the final mission to win your flight ticket.

Please refer to the video of your Malaysian mentor...

For those who haven't become finalists yet, there's still a chance! If you excel in this mission, you could secure your spot as an ambassador finalist this year. Don't give up until the very end! (As two candidates have been deferred to next year.)

Mission Details:

Create a self-promotion video that is 3-5 minutes long.

  • The video should be at least 3 minutes, but not longer than 5 minutes.

Video Content:

  1. Introduction:
    • Start with a brief introduction of yourself.
    • Mention your name, happy places, and favorite subjects.
  2. Endangered Species in Your Country:
    • Introduce the main theme of the video: endangered species in your country.
    • Provide an overview of why these species are endangered.
  3. Species Profile:
    • Choose 2-3 endangered species to focus on.
    • For each species, include:
      • Name and scientific name.
      • Description (appearance, habitat, diet, etc.).
      • Reasons why they are endangered. (Geographical explanations will be a big plus!!!)
      • Efforts being made to protect them.
  4. Geographic Context:
    1. Use a map or other geographic tools to show where these species are found.
    2. Highlight any specific regions or habitats that are critical for their survival.
  5. Conclusion:
    1. Summarize the importance of protecting endangered species.
    2. Mention any ways that people can help in conservation efforts.
    3. End with a motivational message encouraging viewers to care for and protect wildlife.

Tips:

  • Use visuals: Include images or videos of the endangered species, maps, stuffed animals,  toys, miniature, and other relevant visuals.
  • Be clear and concise: Make sure your points are easy to understand and well-organized.
  • Engage your audience: Use interesting facts and stories to keep your viewers interested.
  • Edit your video: Make sure the video is clear, with good audio and visual quality.

Remember:

Your video will be shared during the GG Summer School in 2024 and could help you become a GG Ambassador in the future (2025, 2026, 2027…. hopefully forever^^).

Good luck, and have fun creating your video
