Since I was young, I have truly loved visiting new places and experiencing diverse cultures. On weekends, my parents would always make time to plan family trips, which naturally made traveling a joyful part of my daily life. In addition to domestic travel, I have frequently traveled abroad, with Japan and Vietnam being the countries I’ve visited most often.
I have visited Japan so many times that there are almost no regions I haven't been to. From the bustling streets of Tokyo to quiet small towns, I experienced various areas and felt charmed by Japan’s characteristically clean streets and unique culture. I was also impressed by how each season offers a different atmosphere. In Vietnam, I found another kind of joy through the warm weather, vibrant markets, and exotic food culture.
These childhood travel experiences with my family have become precious memories and have taught me to embrace new environments without fear. Seeing and feeling diverse cultures firsthand has broadened my horizons, and even now, traveling remains a source of great excitement and motivation for me.
안녕하세요. 저는 상주시가 있는 경상북도에서 태어났습니다. 자연이 가까운 환경에서 자라며 가족과 함께하는 시간을 소중하게 여기게 되었습니다. 저희 가족은 부모님과 형제자매를 포함해 총 다섯 명으로, 늘 밝고 화목한 분위기 속에서 성장했습니다.
저는 어렸을 때부터 새로운 곳을 방문하고 다양한 문화를 경험하는 것을 무척 좋아했습니다. 특히 주말이 되면 부모님께서 시간을 내어 가족여행을 계획해 주셨고, 그 덕분에 자연스럽게 여행이 일상의 즐거움이 되었습니다. 국내 여행뿐만 아니라 해외여행도 자주 다녔는데, 그중에서도 일본과 베트남을 가장 많이 방문했습니다.
일본은 거의 안 가본 지역이 없을 정도로 여러 번 방문했습니다. 도쿄의 번화한 거리부터 한적한 소도시까지 다양한 지역을 경험하며 일본 특유의 깔끔한 거리 풍경과 문화에 매력을 느꼈습니다. 계절마다 다른 분위기를 느낄 수 있다는 점도 인상 깊었습니다. 또한 베트남에서는 따뜻한 날씨와 활기찬 시장, 이국적인 음식 문화를 경험하며 또 다른 즐거움을 느꼈습니다.
이처럼 어린 시절부터 가족과 함께한 여행 경험은 제게 소중한 추억이 되었고, 새로운 환경을 두려워하지 않고 받아들이는 태도를 길러주었습니다. 다양한 문화를 직접 보고 느낀 경험은 저의 시야를 넓혀 주었고, 지금도 여행은 저에게 큰 설렘과 동기부여가 되고 있습니다.
My Hometown: Sangju
I would like to introduce Sangju, located in Gyeongsangbuk-do. Among its many attractions, I will introduce Gyeongcheonseom Island. Gyeongcheonseom Island is a river island of about 200,000 square meters situated upstream of the Sangjubo Weir on the Nakdonggang River. It is an ecological park that creates a beautiful landscape, harmonizing with the gently flowing river that surrounds the island and the cliffs of Bibongsan Mountain.
Every spring, canola flowers are in full bloom to announce the beginning of the season, and in autumn, cosmos and buckwheat flowers create a spectacular view, making it a popular tourist attraction that draws many visitors. If you go up to the Nakdonggang Hak Observatory, you can take in the scenic views of Gyeongcheonseom Island and the Nakdonggang River at a glance. If you ever have a chance to visit Sangju, I highly recommend visiting Gyeongcheonseom Island.
저는 경상북도에 위치한 상주를 소개하고 싶습니다. 그중에서도 경천섬을 소개하겠습니다. 경천섬은 낙동강 상주보 상류에 위치한 약 20만㎡의 하중도로 섬을 둘러싸고 유유히 흐르는 강물과 비봉산 절벽에 어우러져 아름다운 경관을 자나애고 있는 생태공원입니다.
매년 봄이면 유채꽃이 만개하여 봄의 시작을 알리고, 가을에는 코스모스와 메밀꽃이 장관을 이루어 많은 관광객의 발길이 이어지는 관광명소입니다. 낙동강 학 전망대에 오르면 경천섬과 낙동강의 비경을 한 눈에 담을 수 있습니다. 상주에 갈 일이 생긴다면 꼭 경천섬을 가보시길 바랍니다.

광화문에 방문했을 때, 웅장하면서도 정돈된 한국적 미를 느낄 수 있었고, 이를 통해 한국인의 역사와 문화에 대한 자부심을 느꼈다.
<지리 교재로서의 활용>
광화문은 경복궁과 정부청사가 함께 위치한 서울의 중심 공간으로, 역사와 정치 그리고 도시 구조를 함께 배우는 지리 교재로서 활용하기 좋다고 생각한다. 실제 답사나 사진 자료와 연계하여 전통 경관과 현대 도시 기능의 변화를 비교하는 학습도 가능할 것이다.
Gwanghwamun is the main gate of Gyeongbokgung Palace, and the name “Gwanghwa” means “the king’s virtuous influence on the people.” Unlike the main gates of other palaces, Gwanghwamun was built in a grand style with strong stone foundations and a two-story pavilion, similar to the main gate of a fortress.
When I visited Gwanghwamun, I could feel its magnificent yet well-balanced Korean beauty. Through this experience, I felt proud of Korean history and culture.
Gwanghwamun is located in the center of Seoul, where Gyeongbokgung Palace and government buildings stand together. Because of this, it can be used as a geography learning material to study history, politics, and urban structure at the same time. By connecting field trips with photos and maps, students can also compare traditional landscapes with the functions of a modern city.

길을 지나가다가 여러 조형물을 발견할 수 있었다. 요즘 불교에 대해 관심이 많은데, 평온하게 누워 있는 부처의 모습이 인상 깊었고 왠지 모르게 마음이 편안해지는 느낌이었다.

삼청동문화거리는 전통 가옥과 문화예술 공간이 어우러진 사례로, 지리 교과에서 도시 경관과 문화 공간 형성을 이해하는 데 활용할 수 있다.
Samcheong-dong Culture Street is a place where traditional Korean hanok houses blend with modern cafés and galleries.
While walking along the street, I was able to discover many sculptures and artworks. These days, I have become interested in Buddhism, so the image of the peacefully lying Buddha was especially impressive to me. For some reason, it made me feel calm and comfortable.
Samcheong-dong Culture Street can be used as a geography learning material because it is a good example of a place where traditional houses and cultural-art spaces coexist. It helps students understand urban landscapes and the formation of cultural spaces in cities.

수면에 반사된 하늘과 건축물이 어루어져 아름다움이 느껴졌다. 자연과 건축물이 함께 어우러져 조화를 이루는 것이 참 좋았다.
<지리교재로서의 활용>
경회루는 경복궁 안 연못과 누각의 배치를 통해 전통 건축, 인공 지형, 공간 활용을 함께 배울 수 있는 지리 교재로 활용할 수 있다고 생각한다. 특히 자연과 인문 환경의 조화를 설명하기에 좋다고 생각한다.

<Use as a Geography Teaching Material> I think Gyeonghoeru can be used as an excellent geography teaching material because the arrangement of the pavilion and pond within Gyeongbokgung Palace helps students learn about traditional architecture, human-made landscapes, and the use of space. In particular, it is a good example for explaining the harmony between the natural environment and the human environment.

북촌의 길을 걷다 우연히 마주한 독립운동가의 길에서, 북촌 한옥마을의 고요한 풍경 속에 스며든 역사를 자연스럽게 떠올릴 수 있었다.

독립운동가의 길에서 역사와 지리, 미술을 함께 배울 수 있다고 생각한다. 독립운동가의 그림을 보고 역사적 의미를 이해하고 골목과 건물 배치를 살피며 지리적 특성을 파악할 수 있다.
