JJ Friends : Valentina Montecinos from Chile

 

Hello! my name is Valentina Montecinos, and this was my experience at the 2023 World Scout Jamboree in South Korea 💗

The beginning of my experience was in Tokyo, Japan. It was veeeery hot, I had never been in a place so hot. We visited a variety of interesting temples and monuments. At first, we only went everywhere by walking, because we didn't really know how to take the subway, but later we learned to do it.

I posted a photo of the ice cream machine, because it was what cooled us down from the heat. 😅 We went to the Tokyo National Museum, Tokyo Tower, Mount Fuji and finally Universal Studios in Osaka. 

When we were at Lotte World, we saw the girls from STAYC, they sang their song "Teddy Bear" 🐻

Finally, we arrived in Seoul! They were waiting for us to take us to the Jamboree site, we arrived and set up our tents to start our work the next day. We went to the opening ceremony and it was incredible!! One day we went to Byeonsan beach and it is really very beautiful. Another day, we went to Buan, I absolutely LOVED IT, there were so many things to do there.

Then came the typhoon :(

And they transferred us to a university, but that doesn't mean we had an amazing time! They gave us activities and tours to places like CheongNamDae and history museums, one day our Korean friends invited us to a performance of traditional Korean music in a theater, then they danced to Kpop, it was incredible! And to finish the Jamboree, we went to the closing ceremony with performances by various kpop groups, it was truly amazing 😭

After the Jamboree, we toured different parts of Seoul. We visited Lotte World, we had a good time there, the games were great. We buy kpop albums, clothes and many other things. The city was beautiful and the people were very nice to us, immediately recognizing that we were scouts 🫶🏻

Our time in South Korea and the Jamboree was totally amazing, an experience we will never forget !!! 💗
