David Kim: Your Local Guide to Daegu Sports!
Hello! I’m David Kim, a Daegu local who lives and breathes sports.
Did you know that Daegu is a special city where you can enjoy South
Korea’s three major professional sports—baseball, soccer, and basketball—all in
one place? I’m excited to share more about the teams I love and support.
⚽ Daegu FC: "Cesinha, Son of
the Sun, and the Heat of Dapak"
Our home stadium, DGB Daegu Bank Park (nicknamed 'Dapak'), is
famous for its incredible atmosphere where you can practically hear the players
breathing. The "Kung! Kung! Gol!" chant, where the whole stadium
stomps in unison, is the pride of Daegu. While the team is currently working
hard in K League 2 to earn their way back to the top, we are waiting for the
day we fly high again with our living legend, Cesinha.
⚾ Samsung Lions: "The
Traditional Powerhouse, Roaring for the 2026 Title"
The Daegu Samsung Lions Park ('Lapak'), with its unique octagonal
shape, is like my second home. Following a strong 2nd-place finish in 2025, we
are aiming straight for the championship in 2026. With a powerhouse
lineup featuring Won Tae-in, Koo Ja-wook, and Kim Young-woong, the
energy is unmatched. Would you like to join me for a game?

Pegasus: "Basketball Passion Lighting Up Winter Nights"
The Daegu Gymnasium is the heart of the city’s winter sports scene.
Building on the momentum of our first-ever playoff appearance last season, the
team is showing incredible grit and teamwork this year. With stars like SJ
Belangel, Shin Seung-min, and Jung Seong-woo, Pegasus is a team that
defines "never give up."
