How Tennis Is Played
Tennis matches are played on a rectangular court divided by a net. Players use rackets to hit a ball back and forth, aiming to score points by making the ball land within the opponent’s side of the court in a way that cannot be returned.
Scoring System: Tennis has a unique scoring pattern: 15, 30, 40, and then game. A player needs to win six games (by at least two) to take a set, and matches are usually best of three or five sets.
Singles and Doubles: Singles involve one player per side, while doubles involve two players per side with slightly wider court boundaries.
Winning: A match is won by the player or team that wins the majority of sets.
Beyond the rules, tennis is also a mental battle—focus, patience, and strategy are just as important as physical power.
