Hello! My name is Hwang Hyemin, and I am currently studying at an education university to become an elementary school teacher. My favorite place is Jeju Island.
First of all, Jeju Island was the very first place where I went on a proper trip after I was born. Although Jeju is a common destination for many Koreans, I didn’t visit until I was an adult. It was around autumn when I went, and I remember breathing in the cool, comfortable air—not too hot or too cold—while enjoying the beautiful ocean views, exploring Manjanggul Cave, which I had only seen in geography textbooks, and riding a rail bike at sunset to immerse myself in nature. That experience was one of the happiest in my life, and I can say it was the best experience I’ve ever had. It also helped me discover what I genuinely enjoy and gave me a chance to think more deeply about it. So, for me, Jeju Island is not only my first travel destination but also holds a much deeper significance.
