I’ve been researching the Egerszalók salt hill, and I found some sources saying that hot spring water came up to the surface and cooled in the air, causing minerals like limestone to settle and form white layers.
But other sources say that limestone has nothing to do with it.
I’m curious which one is actually correct.
I heard that it was artificially developed, but the water comes from natural underground springs.
I’m curious how this process works.
I know that Hungary has set a goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 as part of its decarbonization policy to respond to the climate crisis. Hungary is working on decarbonizing its energy production by supplying smart energy at low prices and increasing its energy self-sufficiency. However, during this process, the growth of Hungary’s energy production has slowed down. Although new measures that support renewable energy generation could help solve this problem to some extent, the government is also placing restrictions on the expansion of wind power. Because of this, the positive effects of the new policies might be partly offset.
I’m curious about what you think of this situation.
