Hello, my name is Sarang Han, and I am majoring in Special Education. While many people assume my name is purely Korean, it is actually derived from the Chinese characters 思 (생각 사), and 朗 (밝을 랑), True to this meaning, I strive to fill each day with bright intentions. My English name on my passport is HAN SA RANG.
My hometown is Iksan in North Jeolla Province. While it's a small, regional city compared to the Seoul metropolitan area, I love its charming, familiar feel. Iksan is a precious place to me because it reminds me of my childhood surrounded by nature.

2. 저의 고향은 전라북도 익산시입니다. 익산은 수도권에 비하면 작은 지방 지역이지만, 저는 정감 있는 익산의 모습을 좋아합니다. 익산은 저에게 자연에 둘러쌓여 지낸 어린 시절을 떠오르게 하는 소중한 고향입니다.
I’d like to introduce a delicious restaurant from my hometown, Iksan.
The place is called Hwaseem Sundubu, and it’s my favorite sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) restaurant in Iksan.
Sundubu jjigae is a hot soup made with soft tofu. Unlike other places, the tofu here is firmer, which gives it a great texture and allows its mild, clean flavor to really stand out. That’s what I love about it.
In addition to the stew, they also serve soybean donuts. These donuts have a subtle, nutty flavor from the beans, making them especially tasty.
If you ever visit Iksan, I highly recommend stopping by Hwaseem Sundubu to try both the sundubu jjigae and the soybean donuts.
저는 저의 고향인 익산의 맛있는 식당을 한 곳 소개하려고 합니다.
이 식당은 <화심 순두부>인데요, 익산에서 제가 가장 좋아하는 순두부찌개 식당입니다.
순두부찌개는 콩으로 만든 담백한 두부를 활용한 국물 요리입니다. 이 곳은 다른 식당과 달리 두부가 단단합니다. 두부가 단단하기 때문에 식감이 좋고 담백한 맛이 더 잘 느껴져서 좋아합니다.
이 곳은 순두부찌개 외에도 콩이 들어간 콩도너츠도 함께 즐길 수 있습니다. 도너츠에서도 콩의 담백한 맛이 나서 아주 맛있습니다.
