Hello! 안녕하세요!!
I'm SooBin, who lives in South Korea  :)

This article is about poet Yun Dong-Ju.

The picture above was taken at the Yun Dong-Ju Memorial Hall
in Yonsei University.
It's actually a place that depict poet Yun Dong-Ju's room.

This is poet Yun Dong-Ju.

Yun Dong-Ju was a poet and independence activist
during the Japanese occupation.

He is a writer who has contributed greatly to the history of Korean literature
due to his unique sensitivity, life agony, and desire for independence.

It is not an exaggeration to say that he is the most popular poet in Korea.

his representative works include Prologue Poem (서시) , A Night counting the stars ( 별헤는 밤)
, easily written poetry(쉽게 씌어진 시) , and A Confession (참회록).

The memorial hall is located in the Pinson Hall,
a dormitory building where the poet lived when he was in college.

The exterior looks like the passage of time,
and a monument of Yun Dong-ju is erected in front of it.

As a special exhibition, it is said that there are shadows of leaves in walls / well and
the sound of the area where poet Yun Dong-ju lived was recorded.

Inside, you can see poems and
writings left by Yoon Dong-Ju and books he purchased by period.

There is also a notebook for visitors to write their impressions.

There is also a wooden rest area,
and it is an atmosphere that goes well with green outside.

I recommend poet Yun Dong-ju's memorial hall.
( There are many good restaurants around Yonsei University, too! )

Under the oppression of Japanese imperialism,
you can understand more deeply the inner side of a poet
who reflects on himself who has no choice
but to fight back with writing as an intellectual.
