I had such an amazing experience visiting two primary schools in Seongnam! It was exciting and heartwarming to meet so many bright, curious young students. They were full of energy, super enthusiastic, and even gave us cute gifts, which I truly appreciated. 💛
For this visit, I wore a traditional Nyonya outfit, representing my heritage. The Nyonya are descendants of the Peranakan community—a mix of local Malays and Chinese—and it was so special to share this part of my culture with the students.

During my presentation, I introduced Malaysia—its rich food, diverse culture, and multicultural lifestyle. I also shared the 6 languages I speak: Malay, English, Chinese, Cantonese, Hokkien, and Hakka, plus basics of Japanese and Korean, to show how diverse our country is and how language connects people. The students were curious and asked questions like, “What is Malaysia famous for?” and “What’s your favorite food?” I loved recommending some Malaysian dishes they might want to try one day!
I also introduced GGS Connectography, explaining how it connects over 160 countries and helps students explore the world in a fun, interactive way. To make it even more exciting, I shared a QR code so they could join the Malaysia GGS friends WhatsApp group and continue learning about Malaysia, connecting with other students and sharing ideas.
This visit reminded me how curious and open children are about the world. It felt amazing to represent Malaysia and GGS, and I hope the students walked away with a better understanding of our country, a spark of excitement to explore more, and happy memories from our interactions.
Overall, it was such a rewarding day, full of culture, connection, and fun. I can’t wait for more chances to meet young learners and share more about Malaysia and GGS! 🌏✨
