Hello, I'm Jinuk Oh. You can call me Mr. Jin. 👍
I really love spending my free time drawing and enjoy traveling. My favorite color is indigo blue, and I absolutely love connecting with people from different cultures and learning about their unique perspectives. I’m excited to make new friends from around the world and share experiences together. 😄

I'm very interested in Africa! I think it is a continent that will rapidly emerge in the future! And I like the natural scenery because it is so beautiful! I went to Korea Africa Foundation with a good opportunity before, and I drank Ethiopian coffee there and felt so good! That's why I became more interested in Africa!
The name “Ethiopia” means “land of people with dark faces,” which I found interesting. I was also surprised to learn that Ethiopia appears in Greek and Roman mythology—how amazing is that? One of the coolest things I learned is that the descendants of King Solomon of Israel ruled Ethiopia for around 700 years! I also found out that over 60% of Ethiopians are Christians, which was new to me.
There's a place called Lalibela with rock-hewn churches. These were built by Ethiopians who wanted to go on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem, but since Jerusalem was under Islamic control at the time, they decided to create a “second Jerusalem” in their own country. Isn’t that incredible? I also saw pictures of the Gondar castles, where nature and architecture blend so beautifully. It looked like something out of a movie!
The more I learn about Ethiopia, the more interesting it becomes!
Even though Ethiopia is near the equator, most of its land is high up, so the weather is cooler and not too hot. Here in Korea, summer is just around the corner—I really hope it won’t be too hot this year! Ethiopia has wide plateaus and is home to the Nile River. And did you know? It’s also the place where coffee was first grown!
* This picture was taken on the Heart island(located on Thousand Island). There's a really romantic story here, and I love it.
+ And I'm so curious about Africa! Especially interested in Ethiopia, Angola, Sudan and Nigeria! I got more interested while studying about Africa in my university class! I think Africa will grow big in the future! But I also want to hear your opinions about internal conflicts and solutions! And I also want to know what's you favorite and what kind of food you like!
Hellooooooooo Im Renata from Mexico , I really like you’re blog , I want to know hows the story of the Thousand Island if it’s possible
ReplyDeleteHello!!!
DeleteThe story follows the kindness, love, and sorrow of a young man named Bolt. While working at a modest inn, Bolt once gave up his own room to an elderly couple on a rainy night, even though there were no vacancies. Touched by his sincerity, the couple—who turned out to be the owners of a prestigious hotel—invited him to the Waldorf Astoria in New York, opening the door to a new life of opportunity. Bolt eventually married their daughter and found great success. However, when his beloved wife fell ill with an incurable disease, he began building a castle on Hart Island as a gift for her. During this time, he created a unique sweet-and-sour dressing just for her, which later became known as the Southern Island dressing. Sadly, his wife passed away before the castle could be completed, leaving Bolt heartbroken and unable to finish it.
This story is so romantic, but sad.
Oh no is a really sad end but is romantic at the same time, thank you for telling me the story
DeleteOhhhh and we have the same favorite color !!
ReplyDeleteohhhhhhhhhh It's so cool!
DeleteHi Mr. Jin, what is the most interesting thing about the Korean education system from a foreign viewpoint?
ReplyDeleteMiro New Zealand
From a foreign perspective, Korean education is really meticulous. Everything has standards and methods, so Korean teachers seem to learn more because they have a longer process of becoming teachers than in other countries.
DeleteSchools are divided into elementary, middle and high schools. Lunch is served at the school. Teachers provide the best conditions and opportunities for students to study.
