GINUE(Gyeongin National University of Education) is the largest National University of Education in Korea. https://www.ginue.ac.kr/eng/Main.do Most GINUE students are supposed to teach primary school students in Gyeonggi and Incheon region around SEOUL. We, GINUE students, are very sorry that we lack knowledge and teaching materials about your country... So... we decided to get some help from you to learn about your country. Would you kindly be our teacher?
Hello GINUE students, very nice to meet you here :) my name is Joelle and I'm a German PhD student of Geography living in Seoul. Happy to see you are interested in Germany and glad to answer your questions! 1) That is a very difficult question and you will get a lot of different answers from different people. Many cities have their own beer, so you could easily make a map of different beer types. It is kind of a "city pride" thing which kind of beer you drink. In the North of Germany, people tend to like the stronger and more bitter beers. The most popular one there is Jever. Where I come from, around Cologne, people drink Kölsch, which is more mild (I personally like that more, too). Generally the most popular in a lot of places is Bitburger tho. I think every beer drinker would be able to enjoy that. And I personally am also a fan of Weißbier, which is most popular in South Germany, where it is brewed. Brands are for example Paulaner and Erdinger. I think sometimes you can find it in Stores here. Did you try any German beers before? And if yes, which ones are your favourites and why? And what are the best Korean beers?
2) Hm I would like to answer this question, but I am not familiar with the selection process myself. Let me check some German articles about that, and I will get back to you with an answer tonight after work :)
3) Coincidentally, just recently I made a walnut cake here :) I would say Korean and German walnuts taste the same. Hm, I'm wondering whether they are different types of walnuts or the soil is just different. Which region are walnuts grown in around Korea? I will look into this more deeply after work, too.
Hello again, now I had time to look into the question regarding Miss Germany. Apparently, this is not a beauty pageant contest in the first place, only secondary. First thing is that they are looking for women who want to make/support projects that are promoting equality, women's rights or similar societal goals. Miss Germany shall be a representative for all women in Germany and is expected to promote projects that benefit the society. That is why selection criteria are also for example their potential to inspire other people and how professional they appear. To be fair, they all look like models anyway, but they shall also be inspiring people that fight for their mission. If you win, the project you are promoting will get support, and you get some educational programs and a strong network, amongst other things. That is at least what I read tonight :) if anyone has more insight than me, feel free to add or to correct. Thanks for asking your questions, I learned a lot tonight!!
