Sejong, my hometown, is an administrative city of Korea.
Also, it’s a planned city where a government office resembling a dragon is located in. Sejong is known for its specialty product, peaches.
Hi! I’m Jaea, a student of Korea.
Do you like animals?
I raise a cat named Dubu, which means tofu in Korean.
Isn’t he so cute?
In Korea, there are a lot of animals living in wild,
and one of them is a cat.
Cats, especially stray cats inhabit around the places where people live.
Some stray cats are living near our school.
We can see them when we take a walk along the school.
Also, the appearance of stray cats in Korea is various,
and called Korean Shorthair.
These cats had once lived in wild, such as forest.
But now, as people developed forests to create cities,
the cats are moving in with us.
We have a duty to take care of and coexist with them.
So many people in Korea treat sick cats, feed cats, or help motherless kittens.
I also give them fodder, and really try to care of them.
Different kinds of animals are living around us, and coexisting around us.
We should try hard to help them not being hurt by people anymore.
Then we can make a better world.
Is there any wild animals or just animals living around you?
And what are you doing to help them?
Please tell me about it!
Thak you for reading my story.
Hi Jaea! Your interest in India's culture is inspiring! What religions, languages, or historical sites in India have you found most fascinating so far?
ReplyDeleteAlso, how do you and your community care for the stray cats around your school? It's really amazing!
(P.S. Your cat, Dubu, is sooo cute 🥰)
Yes we’re so curious about what you found on indian’s culture&beliefs cause it seems so interesting
DeleteOur school has a club that provides cat food, so take care of the cats like that! In the community, the population is controlled by neutering cats. I want to know how to approach wild animals in a more natural way. How is your country? Kenya is truly a paradise for wild animals! I want to hear about Kenya's animal protection policy. Do you have any examples of controlling or caring for populations like we do? What do you think about those methods?
ReplyDeleteThat's great to hear about your school's cat club! In Kenya, we have similar programs to control animal populations, especially for wildlife conservation. Our country has strict policies to protect our amazing wildlife. Kenya also works with local communities to ensure that wildlife and people can coexist peacefully.
